Business requirements:

650-700MHZ operating frequency, home and KTV entertainment venues, within a radius of 10M, there should be no disconnection and noise.

Problem Description:

The original antenna solution is directly designed on the main board of the product. The on-board antenna we call cannot guarantee the above needs of customers during use. After actual testing, the original antenna only meets the signal within a radius of 2M. We have communicated and discussed with many antenna companies. Finally, Cowin Antenna was selected to undertake the research and development of Q1 product antenna.

Challenge

Signal stability and anti-interference are the cornerstones of microphone wireless communication solutions. Due to the diversification of electronic products and complex application environments with dense population, the signal is seriously interfered, which requires a larger antenna position and a larger grounding area To meet the antenna design requirements; the internal space of the microphone is 100MM long and 25MM inner diameter. Come to great challenge.

Solution:

1. The main board of the product is installed in the main board bracket and then pushed into the housing. The antenna must be connected to the main board or the main board bracket in advance. Considering the subsequent mass production, the possibility of the antenna being attached in the housing in advance is ruled out.

2. There are function buttons on one side of the motherboard bracket, and the antenna cannot be installed. The only option is to install the antenna on the other side. The other side is a large-capacity battery. The battery is the biggest killer that affects the performance of the antenna. This requires the professional knowledge of our engineers to solve it.

3. The close cooperation and analysis of structural engineers and radio frequency engineers chose to add 5MM thick isolation foam on the antenna PCB to create a reasonable safe distance between the antenna and the battery and minimize the impact of battery radiation on the antenna.

4. The determination of the antenna position and the space given by the structural engineer determine the size of the antenna. For this reason, we define the size of the antenna as length 100*width 17MM.

5. The use of the engraving machine allows engineers to greatly shorten the development time. After 5 times of rigid sample preparation, a double-panel antenna with a length of 100*width 17*thickness 1MM was finally successfully developed, with a gain of up to 4.8DB and an efficiency of 44%. The grounding of the antenna becomes larger, which perfectly improves the anti-interference ability of the antenna and the superior performance of long-distance transmission.
